MAX LOAD 5 lbs - the handle bar adapter is plastic, not high-tensile steel. Overloading the DILLY CANVAS handle bar bag could cause the adapter to break - especially if you're hucking curbs. Having your handle bar bag fall onto your front wheel is not a pretty thing. It could entail a visit to the emergency room.  

A WORD ABOUT THE CANVAS :: It's cotton, so it's splashproof and not waterproof. Please use your bag's removable raincover  in bad weather. The canvas has a light water-repellent spray coat to help keep dirt at bay. This will need to be re-applied periodically. With time your bag will develop a unique patina all its own. Part of the charm!
